Types of Therapy
Individual Therapy
One-to-one sessions are based on an authentic relationship, built on trust and a sense of comfort. It is not one size fits all. We look at your presenting problem and circumstances, and choose a path forward that suits your needs and personality. Drawing from solution focused theories to deeper relational or insight-based modalities, we find a way forward. With healing, rebuilding resilience, understanding and a comfortable sense of self you will reach peace.
Couples Therapy
It is often in our closest relationships that our deepest feelings get triggered. Therapy calls for a specialized process that explores the underlying needs and wounds of both partners. In a blameless way, this builds communication and understanding beneath the obvious. Many couples grow into greater mutuality and a sense of togetherness. Partners are relieved to find solutions to arguments, stalemates and unhealed issues.
Family Therapy
Families are like a multi-headed being. Often one member is identified as the more obvious problem. In actuality, every person affects each other and knots become tied in complex ways. Therapy is a safe holding space for individual feelings and how they affect each other. It helps ease the tensions, identify issues that require understanding and provide guidelines towards resolving disruptions and alienation.
Group Therapy
This is a modality where participants come together once a week with similar issues, such as grief, divorce, etc. I moderate free flow discussions, sometimes adding structure, where everyone learns from each other and finds comfort and healing companionship.
